From Sketch To Stitch
When we invited our community to co-create a piece with us, we never imagined the result would feel this personal.
During Djerfmas of 2022, we held a competition for our angels to help us design an item, where they would be included in everything from the design process to the final fittings. Aimé was our winner!

The concept: A Versatile Vest
We discussed with Aimé what she would be interested in designing, and we agreed that a vest would be something completely new that we haven't had before. She sent us a moodboard and we came back with a few design suggestions.
From the very start, Aimé’s vision was clear: a piece that could live many lives, just like she does. Inspired by city streets, outdoor adventures, and moments spent with the people she loves, the vest became a reflection of everything she stands for. Functional, versatile, and thoughtfully made to be worn by anyone, anywhere.
Choosing The Right Material
We sent out the first material and sample requests and agreed that it was important that the vest would be produced in sustainable materials.
We picked a cotton material that was more of a fleece structure, but it didn’t pass our wash tests so, we eventually opted for a durable and responsibly sourced corduroy cotton.
Fittings at Djerf Avenue HQ
For one of the last fittings we invited Aimé to our office, which was last summer. We chose the colors for the fabric and the lining, and Aimé got to try on the previous samples in person!

Introducing: The Aimé Vest
The final product is crafted from durable, responsibly sourced corduroy fabric with recycled padding that provides warmth and a soft touch. The unisex vest buttons at the front with natural corozo buttons and has two front pockets.
It's made to move with you through seasons, cities, and stories. Whether thrown over a hoodie on a chilly hike or styled for a night out in the city, it’s meant to be lived in and loved for years to come.
What makes this piece so special?
It was created by someone who’s been part of our community for years — someone who’s seen Djerf Avenue not just as a brand, but as a feeling built on care, creativity, and connection. Now, she’s part of our story.
