The Summer Island collection takes us back in time. When warm summer days were spent out in the sun, picking flowers and eating strawberries dipped in sugar.
Recreating that special feeling of ending the day in a bedroom where time has stood still. Where summer memories and late-night laughs still circle the air, and with bed linen that has been washed over and over for decades, leaving them soft with that special scent of air-dried linens in the sun.
For me, my bedroom is my sacred place. It’s the one place that allows me to let go of everything. The idea to make bedding has been in the back of my head for years, to create bedding for you to cuddle up in, a place to cry, a place to laugh, somewhere you can rest, reflect and breathe out.
On a small island on the west coast, there’s a yellow house that has been in our family since 1887. My grandparents took over it in 1982 and today we spend every summer there with the family.
We have this blue cabinet in our yellow summer house. It has been there for as long as I can remember, and the sheets inside of the cabinet confirm that. Everything is sun-bleached from years of hanging to dry in the sun. I love to run down the stairs and go through all of the pastel colors. Making the bed in our summer house has always made my heart flutter. Colors, prints, and different materials.
Our yellow summer house, the blue cabinet, and pastel colors all made me dream about one day creating my own bedding.

My bed is a place for me to reflect and really listen to what my body is telling me. Questions I like to ask myself before I go to bed or while drinking my morning coffee in bed:
