Lyocell is a regenerated fiber where the raw material is certified biobased fibers, made in an environmentally responsible production process. The fibers are certified as compostable and biodegradable, and can fully revert back to nature. Lyocell can successfully be blended with other materials, such as cotton, polyester, or silk. The characteristics of Lyocell are strong, breathable, soft, and smooth fabrics. TENCEL™ is a specific kind of Lyocell that is trademarked by Lenzing.

Depending on the kind of fabric, most Lyocell fabrics can be machine washed in low to medium temperatures (30-40 degrees) but we recommend you follow the specific care instructions on your Lyocell garments. Since it is a most-part natural material, it should be ok to wash, iron, and wear for a long time. Note that ironing can usually be avoided by air drying or removing immediately from the machine.
