General tips
Shopping / Consumption

Clothing production or any kind of production will always have an impact on our planet. Therefore we are always striving towards long lasting, timeless designs that you can use for years. We encourage you to consider each purchase that you make before doing so. Invest in high quality products that you will use for a long time, and that you can recycle or sell to someone else when you do not want it anymore.

Wearing

Wear your pieces with love and take good care of them. Fix a broken seam, spot treat stains, air ventilate after each use and combine your pieces in new ways to keep them interesting. Be mindful about which fabrics are being worn against each other. Some denim garments tend to “bleed” and can stain a lighter colored garment when worn against each other, especially when wet. Also, be careful to wear bags over and against sensitive fabrics as they might rub and create pilling.

Storing

Check our fabric info for specific store tips, but in general; store dresses, blazers and delicate garments on hangers to keep the shape. Store jersey and knitted garments folded to avoid hanger marks and growing. Organize and clean your closet every once in a while to maintain good folding and ventilation.

Washing

Always check the care label for care instructions to care for your garments and avoid unnecessary shrinking or damage. Do not wash more than necessary, we often wash our garments more than needed and every wash wears on the item and fades its color. Instead of washing, hang your garment outside to air ventilate, use a steamer to freshen it up, and spot treat stains.

Hand washing is also more kind to garments than machine washing. When washing in a machine, you can almost always wash colder and more gently than advised on the care label and this is also more kind to the garment and planet.

To keep the prints and colors as sharp and nice as possible, wash your garments inside out and with similar colors. When washing synthetic fabric garments, please do so in a microfiber washing bag to catch microfibers from being washed out the drain.

When you wash your clothes we encourage you to find a gentle and environmentally friendly detergent without bleach. Why without bleach? This is to avoid bleach stains and unnecessary damage to the fibers. Please also skip fabric-softener. Fabric softeners often contain petroleum-based chemicals which can be harmful to aquatic life once washed down the drain, petroleum-based chemicals are not easily biodegradable.

Drying

Try to avoid tumble drying as much as possible as this also wears on the garment. Hang or lay flat to dry depending on the garment instead of tumble drying it.
